Board Meetings are normally held on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM at Freedom Library. Some months there may not be a meeting.

September 2015 Blog

September 10, 2015 Board Meeting
Four Board members and 17 residents were present.
Minutes and Treasurer Report were give. Documents to be posted.
President Report:
* Meet your neighbor event has been canceled – perhaps sometime in the future.
* Majestic Oaks & Bent Tree Community Yard Sale is scheduled for the first Saturday in October. Rain date would be the second Saturday.
* Board of Directors Candidates are needed. A Bio would be useful. Meet the Candidate October 8, 2015 at the Library in conjunction with the Board of Directors Meeting.
* Expressed appreciation for the work of Ann Ivone in keeping the books and assisting with the budget preparation. * Expressed appreciation for Bob Watson and Louie Bartolomeo for work on the lights at the entrances.
ACR Report - Exterior Changes Approved
* 5700 SW 89 Pl – Exterior Painting
* 5801 SW 86 Pl – White Fence
* 5790 SW 86 Pl – Chain Link Fence
* Annual Meeting / BOD Election is scheduled for November 30, 2015, 6:30 PM at Cross Roads Community Church
* Bob Watson will be the Board Liaison and Tony Ivone will head up the election committee.
* FY 2015 Budget was approved. Click to see Budget. (runs from October 1, 2015 to September 31, 2016)
* Board authorized the “roll over” of the matured CD. New CD will be 19 months at 1.35%
Homeowners brought up the following:
* Homeowner suggested a general motion to increase assessment on a inflation percentage bases. Board felt the funds were not needed. Homeowner suggested a tree fund to buy oak trees. Homeowner suggested increasing fees to buy a building to hold meetings. There was no expressed support for any of the suggestions.
* Homeowner inquired about a previous request for documents and when documents would be posted on the official website. Homeowner was not given a firm date but advised it would be forthcoming which apparently was the answer they were given at a previous meeting.
* Homeowner requested a breakdown for reported legal expenses. Homeowner advised by Treasures assistant that it was for lawyers time regarding gaining easements for the entrance wall. No one on the Board knew that those easments had been processed years ago and that documentation was avaialable on the County Records Website. The Board became aware of the existance of the easment documents through the help of a homewner subsequent to the attorneys work.
* Homeowner (Board member) reported C&S Landscaping was not cutting 60th Ave berm to the top. Homeowner was advised that the berm was the responsibility of each lot owner and that what the landscaper was doing was appropriate though perhaps different than last years landscaper.
* Homeowners asked about the rumor that the Board had approved a shed with a metal roll. President Zobroski said he knew nothing about such a thing, requested sheds location and said he would investigate. Board member Bob Watson said he too had heard the rumor.
* Homeowner asked if foreclosure was in process on homes where the annual assessment had not been paid. Treasure assistant reported that foreclosure seemed inappropriate and not cost effective. Other homeowner held a contrary view.

September 5, 2015
1.) Today Louie Bartolomeo and Bob Watson reinstalled all the lighting at the three entrances and ensured they all work properly. Give them both a BIG THANK-YOU for handling this and saving the association a lot of money.

September 3, 2015
1.) Documents granting easements around entrance signs have been listed in the " 2015 MOHA Documents " section.
