Construction Quality: Very good skilled embroidery Condition: Very good. Typical shattering of silks is very small. Newly backed. Once crept line repair Provenance: Made by: Blocks made by unknown maker circa 1880's. Blocks were joined, bordered and backed by quilt members in 2009. History An anonymous widower passing along his wife treasures gave these twenty 14" squares circa 1880 to the Busy Bee Quilters of Belleview Florida. Mildred Gray pieced them together and along with the club members backed and completed this quilt to use as a fund raiser for the club. Fund raising flyer is below |
